Greetings Art Lovers:

The call for nominations for the first Dutchess County Poet Laureate is open! Nominate a poet, or if you are a poet, nominate yourself - deadline November 30.

I, Too Sing Shakespeare exhibit has two exciting events to close out this exhibit at Arts Mid-Hudson's gallery space. On Saturday, see the Shakespearean Feast Table set by the Dutchess Community College ceramics department, and hear readings of Shakespeare feast scenes by the English Department of Dutchess Community College (5:30-7:00 p.m.) On Sunday, join us for Art Brunch, (1:00-3:00 p.m.), where sculptor Judy Sigunick discusses her work as we all enjoy mimosas and bagels.

Cocoon Theatre's Beckett Festival continues at the Cunneen Hackett Arts Center - reserve online or tickets also available at the door for the final Friday, Saturday and Sunday performances!

This is the last weekend of the ArtEast Open Studio Tour - just in time for the peak of leaf season. Read the Poughkeepsie Journal Enjoy article and check out the studios: 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

If you have never visited The Re Institute in Millerton, this Saturday is the time to go and see the works of Virginia Lavado during the closing party at 4:00 p.m.

In the Pawling area, this Sunday Unison Arts presents the Amaranthus String Quartet as part of Unison's String Series.

Let's save the date:
October 30-31: Tangent Theatre presents Rocky Horror at Cunneen Hackett
October 31: The Haunted Mill at The Wassaic Project
November 7: Dutchess Handmade pop-up shop opens

For arts organizations and artists in Dutchess, Ulster and Orange Counties, see our webpage for grant opportunities - the deadline is coming up soon - November 17th.

Best wishes for an art-filled week!
