The Eagle Rock Association has been around for over 25 years, working to serve the denizens of Eagle Rock. Many of our members have been with us from the beginning. Others have been with us for many, many years. And, yet others are relative newcomers.
Well, regardless of how long you have been a member, I want you to know that TERA values your loyalty and support. Without it, it would be impossible to be an effective community organization. To thank our members, we would like to offer them something special.
As a token of our appreciation and in recognition of our members, TERA is is pleased to present Professor Jan Lin from Occidental College in a talk entitled "Eagle Rock: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow" as a membership appreciation event to be held Thursday, November 5, 2015, 7:00 p.m., at Eagle Rock City Hall, 2035 Colorado Blvd. at Maywood.
This event will feature Professor Lin discussing Eagle Rock in an historical context, including its art, architecture, independent small businesses, immigrant diversity, revitalization and subsequent economic gentrification, political development and activism over the years. The event will also feature an appearance by our longtime Councilman, Jose Huizar. And, there will be a wine and cheese reception afterwards.
Admission to this event is free admission for TERA members. If you are not currently a member, there is still an opportunity for you to attend. Simply, sign up for a new TERA membership at the $35 level (at a minimum) prior to the event, and you too can attend.
