M&B Green News

It's that crazy time of year again where we find ourselves hosting family and friends and sometimes have people show up unexpectedly.  Amidst all of this chaos we end up cleaning more than we normally would.  While tackling all this extra cleaning, it's important to consider not only your health but those of your guests, especially children and  eco tip the elderly.  A study in 2011 revealed that a number of popular cleaning brands - Glade, Clorox, Pine Sol and Simple Green, contain chemicals that are known to cause hormone disruption, pregnancy complications, birth defects, cancer and can aggravate allergies.  Some of the chemicals found were toulene, phthalates, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride and galaxolide.
