The International Law Society chapter at the University of Miami would like to invite you and your colleagues to our 4th Annual Wine Tasting Networking Event. The Wine Tasting will be held on Thursday, September 26th at Rosa Mexicano in Brickell, 900 South Miami Avenue, Miami, Fl. 33130, from 6:30pm-8:30pm. The event promises to be complete with amazing food, wine, and wonderful opportunities to network with fellow colleagues and practitioners, especially in the International Law sector.

October 15-19 - American Bar Association Section of International Law - Fall Meeting in London
 

The ABA Section of International Law invites you to a very special 2013 Fall Meeting in London, United Kingdom, October 15-19, 2013. ABA International's Fall Meeting is one of the world's most important gatherings of international lawyers. Last year's Fall Meeting in Miami, Florida welcomed over 950 attendees from 52 countries.

 

Fall Meeting attendees will include high-level practitioners with the largest and most respected global law firms; lawyers with the most prominent regional and national firms inside and outside the U.S.; small-firm and solo practitioners with significant international practices; corporate and in-house counsel; lawyers serving in government or with non-governmental organizations and inter-governmental organizations; and academics.  ICC's Annual Miami conference

 International Commercial Arbitration in Latin America

 

3-5 November, Mandarin Oriental hotel, Miami

  

 ICC's annual Miami conference provides an indispensable update on developments in the region and is the most important gathering for the Latin American arbitration community. Not only does it offer a line-up of top-class speakers, topical discussions and relevant news, but also an excellent opportunity to network. The conference attracts approximately 400 participants representing about 30 nationalities.  Sessions this years will cover the following perspectives : Judicial; Academic; Business; "Public"; "Alternative"; Ethical and Procedural.

 

This year the conference will be preceded by an advanced level training on "drafting enforceable awards" will take place on Sunday 3 November. Focusing on what can be referred to as the most prominent duty of an arbitrator, participants will learn the best practices pertaining to drafting awards and the ways of maximizing their enforceability. Accordingly, the training will focus on the procedural as well as formal requirements, and cover the issue of the necessary substantive accuracy of the award.
