For this issue, we turned our focus to article topics on canine hypothyroidism, transmissible venereal tumor (TVT) in dogs, and the mechanisms of aging in pets. (1) Yunnan Baiyao Study This trial evaluates the effect of Yunnan Baiyao on coagulability in dogs with hemangiosarcoma using Thromboelastography (TEG). Read More
(2) Thromboelastography (TEG) Study Thromboelastography (TEG) provides a global assessment of coagulation status and West Los Angeles Animal Hospital is the only hospital in Southern California with the capability to evaluate TEG. We are currently investigating the ability of TEG to predict antivenin needs for dogs that have been bitten by rattlesnakes.
