Estimated individual income tax payments for the second installment period of 2015 (if required) are due June 15, 2015. To determine whether estimated tax payment requirements apply, visit our Estimated Tax and Extension Payments web page for individuals.

Paying your estimated income tax using our free online service is the fastest and most efficient way to make your payment. You can also make a payment using the Virginia Estimated Income Tax Payment Vouchers for Individuals Form 760ES. This is a fillable form in portable document format (PDF). Or to order forms by mail, call (804) 367-8031.

 

Fee Charged for Copies of Previously Filed Tax Returnsfour


Effective July 1, 2015, we will begin charging $5 for each copy of a previously filed tax return. You may request copies of returns up to five years back for individual income, corporation income and pass-through entity, or five tax periods back for sales and use and employer withholding.
 

Only the authorized taxpayer, power of attorney, court appointed representative or officer of a company may request copies. The PAR 101 Form does not authorize copies of tax returns.
 

Payment by check or money order must be enclosed with Form VA-1

Missed the May 1 Deadline?five

 

If you missed the May 1 filing deadline and you're filing during the automatic six-month extension period:

  • Check your records to see if you made any estimated payments in 2014 or received a tax refund. If so, be sure to enter the accurate amounts on your return.
  • If you want to receive a refund by direct deposit, verify your bank account information. 
  • Be sure your name, address and social security number are entered correctly.

Access 1099G/1099INT Onlinesix


Did you receive a refund or overpayment from the Tax Department in 2014? Did you claim itemized deductions on your income tax return for that year? If so, go to VATAX 1099G Lookup to see the overpayment amount that must be reported on your 2014 tax return.  

 

You will need the following information to access your Form 1099G/1099INT statement: 

  • Social security number 
  • Date of birth 
  • Last name
  • Tax year of the last filed Virginia return
  • Line 1 (Adjusted Gross Income) of the last filed 760, 760PY, or 763 Virginia return. If you filed a 760PY return, add both columns of line 1.
  • Spouse's social security number, if a joint return was filed

 

You may view, print or save the form, which is in portable document format (PDF). You can view the form using free, down loadable Adobe Acrobat Reader software.
