Customer Services Walk-In Center Now Closed

The Virginia Department of Taxation's Customer Services Walk-In Center in Richmond is now closed.

For taxpayer assistance, please call Customer Services staff between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the following telephone numbers:

Individual Income Tax: (804) 367-8031
Business Taxes: (804) 367-8037

Taxpayers can also ask questions using secure email. First, a taxpayer must be or have been enrolled through VATAX Online for Individuals or VATAX Online for Businesses. To send or receive a secure email, log in as a returning user.

The Cashiers' Office at 1957 Westmoreland St. in Richmond is open year-round, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, to receive tax payments, sell tobacco stamps and receive tax returns.
