Filing Reminders

All employers must file their withholding tax returns, make payments and submit their W-2 wage statements electronically. 
  • Monthly or seasonal filer: Form VA-5 for April 2015 is due May 25, 2015.
Reminder: If a due date falls on a weekend or legal holiday, you have until the next business day to file returns and make payments.

The Tax Commissioner can waive the requirement for an employer to file and/or pay electronically if this causes undue hardship. To request a temporary waiver, complete the Virginia Employer Withholding Electronic Filing Waiver Request form.
