Baltimore's WellDoc announces a collaboration with LifeScan, Inc.--a business within Johnson & Johnson's Diabetes Care Companies--to deliver a best-in-class digital health solution for Type 2 diabetes patients, and an investment from Johnson & Johnson Innovation (JJDC) as part of WellDoc's $29.5M series B financing.

Baltimore's Alba Therapeutics announces the license of all of its assets relating to larazotide acetate, progressing toward Phase 3 clinical trials for the treatment of celiac disease, to Innovate Biopharmaceuticals in a deal which includes up front and milestone payments.
Rockville's REGENXBIO expands from 5 to 60 employees and from 11,000 sq. ft. to 50,000 sq. ft. following $230M financing in 2015 based on strength of its gene therapy licenses.
