TOP STORY:  Immunomic Therapeutics to Receive $300M 
Rockville's Immunomic Therapeutics agrees to provide Astellas Pharma an exclusive worldwide license to Immunomic Therapeutics's LAMP-vax technology for the development of products for the treatment and prevention of of allergic disease in exchange for a $300M upfront fee and potential royalties. The LAMP-vax technology enhances the effectiveness of DNA vaccines, potentially enabling effective vaccinations for a wide spectrum of diseases.

Baltimore's Cerecor, working on treatments for depression, with two in Phase II and another in preclinical development, raises $26M in IPO.

Baltimore's AgeneBio receives $7.5M from NIH as part of a five year, private-public partnership among AgeneBio, Johns Hopkins University and the NIH to study AGB101 and its potential to prevent or delay the onset of Alzheimer's dementia. 

Baltimore's Circulomics receives a $1.5M Phase II SBIR grant from NIH-NIGMS to create a comprehensive DNA and RNA extraction product portfolio using its Nanobind technology.

Silver Spring's PharmaCyte Biotech announces design for its upcoming clinical trial in patients with advanced pancreatic cancer using PharmaCyte's treatment (Cell-in-a-Box® + low-dose ifosfamide chemotherapy).
