TOP STORY: GraftWorx and Perceptive Navigation Raise Funds
Two early stage Maryland biotech companies have closed their initial rounds of capital with support from Maryland and others.  GraftWorx raised $1.9M to advance its smart stent technology and Perceptive Navigation raised $500,000 to move its in-body ultrasound technology forward with investments from the Maryland Venture Fund and Abell Foundation.

Germantown's Senseonics raises $10M in venture funding following a 2014 raise of $20M to support the development of its implantable blood glucose monitor.

Baltimore's Cogentis receives scholarship from venture-backed orphan drug accelerator group Cydan to participate in its accelerator program. 

Vixiar Medical will be showcasing its noninvasive CHF detection technology at AdvaMed 2015 as a finalist in the MedTech Innovator competition.  Harpoon Medical and Sonavex received BioMaryland scholarships to support their attendance at the event in San Diego as they advance their noninvasive mitral valve repair and POC imaging technologies. 

AsclepiX Therapeutics' Jordan Green, Vasoptic Medical's Jason Brooke, and Johns Hopkins' Darius Graham  included in Baltimore Business Journal's 2015 40 Under 40.
