TOP STORY: Registration for $12M in Biotech Tax Credits Opens 6/1
The $12M in MD Biotech Investor Incentive Tax Credits available during FY2016 will be awarded on a first come, first served basis using an electronic line-up on July 1, 2015.

To participate in the July 1, 2015 electronic line-up, companies must register by submitting their completed application (form A1/A2/A3 and form B) to DBED's Tax Incentives Group between June 1, 2015 and June 26, 2015.

Building of a new $65.6M innovation hub in East Baltimore is under way with the recent groundbreaking of a new 168,000 sq. ft. building with office and lab space that is the newest addition to the Science and Technology Park at Johns Hopkins.   

University of Maryland officials are planning to create an innovation district in College Park.

21st Century Cures Act voted out of committee on Capitol Hill.

A team from Johns Hopkins University won first place in the NeuroSTARTUP Challenge for their "novel therapy for neurodegenerative diseases e.g. Alzheimer's" project category.
