Baltimore's WellDoc, the makers of FDA-approved Mobile Prescription Therapy to improve disease management outcomes raises $4.5M. (The company previously received $22.2M Windham Venture Partners, Merck Global Health Innovation Fund and other investors.)

Baltimore's Personal Genome Diagnostics, a Johns Hopkins spin-out, had been awarded a $2M contract by the U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs to provide DNA testing to help determine more effective treatment plans for veterans newly diagnosed with lung cancer.

Rockville's MacroGenics initiates Phase 1 Study of MGD010 for the treatment of autoimmune disorders, triggering a $3 million milestone payment from Takeda.
