Mr. Cass Does the Chicken Dance After Students Reach Reading Goal
Silver Strand students made their goal in the Chicken Challenge! More than half of the students in grades K-1 spent at least a half-hour per week on Ticket to Read (T2R) and more than half of the students in grades 2-5 worked on Compass Learning (CLO) for an hour per week during March, April and May!
To reward Silver Strand's students for all their hard work and dedication Mr. Cass, as promised, dressed up like a chicken and led the entire school in the Chicken Dance at this week's Friday Flagpole Assembly!
Additionally, classrooms in grades K-1 and 2-5 with the most hours spend on T2R and CLO during all three months will be rewarded with a Chick-fil-A luncheon on Tuesday, May 31. The winners are...Mrs. Lavage's Kindergarten Class & Mrs. Hatheway's 3rd Grade Class...Congratulations!
