CUSD's 2016 Strategic Planning session was attended by 40 District, parent, and community shareholders, as well as the entire Governing Board. The willingness to participate of so many is evidence of the strong commitment of our Coronado community to our students. The questions, thoughts, and ideas of our participants are taken very seriously and impact future action steps as we strive to we meet our three Board Goals, which are Learning, Communication, and Support.

Students were also in attendance and spoke about their personal school experiences. A CHS student related about being a part of the Student Organized Learning Opportunities (SOLO) independent study program, and a CMS student spoke about the benefits of Haiku. Elementary students were represented by 5th grade teacher Crystal Garner who shared an example of how she uses Personalized Learning Plans in her class.
