Coronado High School Receives Grant to Expand Internship Programs

Coronado High School will be adding new credit bearing internships soon, thanks to new grant funding from the California Career Pathways Trust (CCPT). We have been awarded the grant as part of a consortium of fourteen school districts and five community colleges. The total awarded amount comes in at over $13 million to be distributed between the participating schools.

Close to a Million People have Visited the CUSD Websites since 2013

Way back in 2012, it became evident that our district and school websites were woefully inadequate in a variety of ways. The main content could not be displayed over a variety of devices and only skilled webmasters could change the information. Raindrop Marketing was hired to build a new website for all of our schools and ventures- a total of nine different websites!

Since the start of our first website in July 2013, over 807,000 people have visited. These visitors to district sites (coronadousd.net and all subdomains) have spent over 1.3 million minutes on the sites, which is 21,600 hours!

Dinosaurs Invade Crown Preschool Learning Environment

Our students had a great first week back from Winter Break learning all about dinosaurs. We discussed how dinosaurs roamed the earth a very LONG time ago, but now they are extinct. Dinosaurs left us evidence such as fossilized footprints and skeletons. This all helped us learn more about dinosaurs...
