Silver Strand Elementary School held its annual promotion ceremony on Wednesday. The ceremony included student speeches, award recognition category announcements, and presentation of students by Principal Bill Cass. The ceremony concluded with CMS Principal, Dr. Marquand, officially accepting the matriculating students as CMS Tritons and their singing of the school song for a final time. Palm Academy for Learning and Pathways Charter School students earned a graduation ceremony on Wednesday and they celebrated it in style in the District's Board Room. Principal Kevin Nicolls presented the graduates at both ceremonies with family, friends, and local education officials.

Village Elementary School's fifth grade students were promoted on Wednesday at Neidermeyer Field. The CHS JROTC color guard presented the colors and the National Anthem was sung by Petty Officer Joyce Polk, United States Navy. Students Carter Cohen and Lana Allari-Smith were chosen by their teachers and peers to speak about their Village Elementary School experience. 165 students were recognized and received promotion certificates in front of a packed house of parents, family members, board members, district office staff, and teachers. Mrs. DeSantis, Principal at Village Elementary reminded the students in her speech that they are all leaders and in charge of their lives. She then passed on the students to Dr. Marquand, Principal at Coronado Middle School! Congratulations class of 2022!

Coronado Middle School promoted 252 eighth grade students on Tuesday, June 9 in what was another dignified and beautiful ceremony that has become a special tradition for students, staff and families. Associated Student Body president, Alysah Hickey commenced the promotion with the pledge of allegiance, followed by principal, Dr. Jay Marquand. CMS assistant principal, Karin Mellina supported the celebration of the students with congratulations and photo-ops.
