America's credit unions and community banks are not seeing eye-to-eye on the NCUA's proposed field of membership rule. For some credit unions, the new regulation will determine whether they can continue to grow without bumping up against regulatory restrictions. Several financial trades joined wit credit unions to voice support of the Data Security Act of 2015. Consumers are encouraged to contat their elected officials, urging them to pass the data security legislation and protect consumer data.

The League is accepting nominations for its awards programs: The Indiana Credit Union Hall of Fame, the Professional and Leadership Achievement Awards and the Emerging Leadership Award. We are also accepting entries in the statewide competition for the Dora Maxwell, Louise Herring and Alphonse Desjardins Awards. More details and a nomination form are available on the League website. Deadline is July 1.
