Trade groups representing the financial sector are urging the feds to reduce regulatory burden. The growing number of regulations is prohibiting community financial institutions from serving their members to the best of their ability. CUNA along with ABA, ICBA, and NAFCU submitted a joint letter expressing their desire for relief to the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council.

Sept. 18 deadlines: ignite and Convention Crashers
Sept. 18 is just a few days away and that means two deadlines that emerging leaders should be aware of -- applications for the League's ignite initiative are due as well as applications for participation in the Crash program at the upcoming Convention.
This year's Convention will take place Oct. 7-9 at the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis. It will feature access to 13 education sessions, a vendor-filled exhibit hall and plenty of networking and entertainment. Make plans now to attend. Details and a registration link are here.
