All about eBooks
Focus Publishing is creating new eBooks daily!
Below is some information about the different formats available.
Did you know that each eBook edition has its own ISBN, just as different print editions have their own ISBN?

PDF eBooks
Are based on a PDF of the printed text of the book.

The content and layout usually matches the print book exactly. It preserves the layout of the original book, rather than re-flowing the words to fit the screen it is being read on.
Can be read on: PCs, Macs, and most tablets. Not a good choice for reading on a phone or small tablet. A number of the retailers we sell through provide apps designed for the academic market and include features which assist with studying.
Available from: Chegg.com, CafeScribe.com, Barnes & Noble (NookStudy program), eBooks.com, and others.
ePub eBooks
Are designed to allow the text to reflow to fit the screen and font size preference of the reader. The content will be the same as the printed book and images and tables will appear near the same text as they do in the print book, but the ePub may look quite different than the print book.
Can be read on: PCs, Macs, tablets, phones
Available from: Apple iBookStore, Kobo, eBooks.com, and others.
Kindle eBooks
Are similar to ePubs, but use a file format proprietary to Amazon.  Also sometimes referred to as a Mobi Pocket format.
Can be read on: PCs, Macs, tablets, phones using the Kindle APP or a Kindle Fire.
Available from: Amazon.com
