Dear  :

I recently realized 2014 is drawing to a close!  In light of this, I want to wish all of you a safe and happy holiday season, and to let you know of some changes coming to CASFM.

We typically hold our general membership meetings on the second Thursday of odd-numbered months, the exceptions being in July when we host a Friday meeting on the West Slope, and September/October when we host the meeting at our Annual Conference. The January 2015 time has been adjusted - please note we will meet on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 9:00-11:00 AM at the UDFCD office in Denver.  This meeting will be immediately followed by a Board Meeting from 11:30-1:00 PM at the same location.  This is outside the normal schedule but was necessary based on recent statewide developments that have officers committed to other events.  Details will be shared at the next general membership meeting!

Many of you have also noticed we have migrated to Wild Apricot to assist with online membership management.  Stuart and Shea have been working with this program in 2014 and are confident it will streamline multiple member services into a single platform, and will also save the organization money in the long term.  The detriment to this process is that we will be losing the wonderful services of Barb Meier, who has worked with Kevin Gingery over the past many years to manage our membership database.  I would like to personally thank Barb and Kevin for all of their hard work!!

Last but not least, Shea is working on the upcoming CASFM Winter Newsletter.  The Committee Chairs in your organization are working on many initiatives these days, and the newsletter is a great chance for all of us to see the progress of current work and visions for the future.  If you are looking to get more involved in CASFM then I would encourage you to contact our Committee Chairs to plug in, and be sure to check out the Winter Newsletter when the digital release arrives in your e-mail inbox!

Again, I wish you all a safe and happy holidays, and look forward to working for you in the New Year!

Respectfully,

Brian Varrella
