A New Day for Pothole Repairs
The City's new next-day pothole initiative has been underway for a few weeks now, and it is beginning to rack up some impressive statistics!

According to reports from Mayor Turner's office, a total of 902 potholes were repaired in response to 311 citizen service request filed between Jan. 4, 2016 and Jan. 18, 2016. Ninety-four percent of these potholes were repaired by the next business day. City crews also proactively filled an additional 2,311 potholes during that same period. Even though these numbers reflect more than a 1000% increase in such requests, City crews have maintained an impressive next business day repair rate of more than 90 percent.

To obtain real-time updates on the progress of the pothole program please click here. There you will also find information designed to help residents understand the difference between a pothole and other street conditions.

In an attempt to be more customer-friendly, the City will use a form of electronic response or a phone call to each individual who reports a pothole. The fastest way to report potholes and other street conditions is by using the 311 app available from iTunes or Google. As always, please contact the District J office by phone or email after you have made a report -- and be sure to provide the service request number -- so that we can track and monitor the request.

Thank You,
