National Garden Tour Comes to Sharpstown
On April 18, the Garden Conservancy will be showcasing Houston's cream-of-the-crop gardens in an open day tour event. Of the five gardens showcased, Jardin de la Paz, in Sharpstown, is included on the tour, and is the only stop located outside the 610 loop! Shenandoah Neighborhood Clean-Up Event

On Saturday, March 28, residents from the Shenandoah community partnered with Keep Houston Beautiful for a neighborhood clean-up event! 2 dumpsters were filled with trash, 34 shopping carts were returned to stores, bandit signs were removed, and trees were trimmed in the community-wide effort.

Neighborhoods USA Conference

Houston is proud to host the 40th anniversary
Neighborhoods USA (NUSA)
conference, May 20-23, 2015! 1,000 civic and
community leaders from across the country are expected to attend, where they will learn valuable techniques and ideas to help their communities.
NUSA is a non-profit group focused on building stronger communities by providing learning, information sharing and networking opportunities for its members. The organization is also known for recognizing outstanding communities and individuals dedicated to improving neighborhood quality of life.
