Welcome Aboard Dave . . .

Please join me in welcoming Dave Bonem to your District J team! Dave joins us in the capacity as our new Chief of Staff.
A native of Houston, Dave's family has lived, worked and worshiped in Southwest Houston all his life. Dave graduated from Baylor University in 2009 and comes to us with an impressive governmental services background, having worked as a Legislative Aide for State Senator Kyle Janek and State Representative Ellen Cohen. Dave and his wife Karlie are excited to be purchasing their first home in Southwest Houston as well.
I know you will join me in welcoming Dave to your District J team!
Happy July 4th . . .
Here is wishing you all safe and happy travels and, good food, good friends, good fireworks this coming July 4th!
Regards,

Best Wishes to our Faith Leaders . . .

District J has been truly blessed with wonderful spiritual leaders over the past couple of years, and it is always difficult to send them off when they are called to serve elsewhere. As sad as we are that two great pastors from our district are moving on, we know that their new flocks will come to love them as much as we have! We wish them the best in their new appointments.
Father Wayne Wilkerson has been the Pastor at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church since October, 2006, and will be heading west to St. Bartholomew the Apostle Catholic Church in Katy, assuming the role of Pastor on July 1st. St. Francs de Sales will be welcoming Father Joseph Phan as their new pastor on July 15th. Let's keep both priests in our thoughts and prayers during this transition.
At the Gethsemane Campus of St. Luke's Methodist, we also said goodbye to the Reverend Justin Coleman, who has led the flock there since 2007. He leaves us for Nashville, to be the Chief Ministry Officer for The United Methodist Publishing House. The Reverend David Horton will take his place as Pastor.
Again, we want to extend a warm thanks to all our spiritual leaders in Southwest Houston, as they all continue to have an immeasurable impact on our community!
