A Wish For Thanksgiving
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for pilgrim feet Whose stern impassioned stress A thoroughfare of freedom beat Across the wilderness! America! America! God mend thine every flaw, Confirm thy soul in self-control, Thy liberty in law! *
Allow me to simply wish each and every one of you a Thanksgiving holiday complete with joy-filled gatherings, secured by safety in travel, and buoyed by grateful hearts.
- Mike Laster, Council Member - District J
