In addition to the $1M USDA award that Dr. Eleni Pliakoni received in the Spring to help growers cut post harvest losses, she now shares in two other grant awards. One is for " Improving safety, quality and shelf-life of locally grown vegetables in Kansas" and the second lead by Dr. Cary Rivard, is for the "Development of an instrument to document the economic impact of fruit and vegetable growers in Kansas" from the Kansas Department of Agriculture.
Team Dynamics Research Presented at National Conference

 Dr. Judy Favor's research in "Team dynamics and personality: Pathways to improved performance " was accepted for a presentation at the American Society for Training and Development conference in Kansas City.

Gelvin Elected Chair of Olathe Economic Development Council

  

Tim Gelvin, Business Development Executive for the K-State Olathe Innovation Accelerator has been elected Chair of the Olathe Economic Development Council, effective January 1st.  He will serve in this role for a two year period. This position also serves on the Olathe Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, representing the EDC.  Already serving K-State Olathe on the board is CEO & Provost, Dr. Prema Arasu.
