Registration Open for the 2016 Economic Outlook Forum

The College of Business and The Trent Lott Center at The University of Southern Mississippi announce the upcoming 2016 Economic Outlook forum sponsored by The First. The event will be held on February 11, 2016 at the Thad Cochran Center Ballroom from 9am to 1pm.
 
Southern Miss serves as a catalyst for turning knowledge into innovation. The Annual Economic Outlook Forum will bring together experts from baking, finance and economic development to explore a number of issues and research related to the economic outlook for 2016. The forum helps support one of Southern Miss' goals to strengthen economic and community partnerships by bringing together the various speakers and attendees. The speaker list includes: Adrienne Slack, Vice President and Regional Executive, Federal Reserve Bank of New Orleans; Chad Newell, President, Area Development Partnership; Darrin Webb, State Economist and Director, University Research Center; Ashley Edwards, President, Gulf Coast Business Council; and Lee Lawson, President and CEO, Baldwin County Economic Development.

MEDC Winter Conference
The 2016 MEDC Winter Conference will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Jackson, MS.  The dates of the event will be February 3 - 5, 2016.  This event gives economic developers and chamber professionals the opportunity to connect and network with likewise individuals from across the state of Mississippi.  Don't miss out on the opportunity to hear some of Mississippi's economic developers and business leaders speak at this event.  Also, be on the lookout for both The Trent Lott National Center booth and our students from the Student Economic Development Association.
