Over the past year, the Mississippi Polymer Institute has worked to achieve accreditation through the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) by transforming its laboratories into ISO/IEC 17025 compliant spaces. Tasha May is the Marketing Coordinator for the Trent Lott National Center for Excellence in Economic Development and Entrepreneurship at The University of Southern Mississippi. Her role is to coordinate all aspects of non-credit professional development programming for the Center including concept identification, planning, marketing, and delivery for financial success. In addition, she oversees all aspects of marketing for the Center including website, e-communication, and external constituent engagement. 
Prior to accepting her current position, Tasha worked in private sector marketing for an accounting firm as well as a regional credit union. She is a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi School of Business, having earned a Bachelors of Science in Marketing, as well as a Masters of Business Administration from William Carey University. Tasha is also an active member of the local community. She has served as the Vice President of Sales and Marking Professionals of the Pinebelt, and currently serves on the board of directors for the Pink Ribbon Fund. She is an active member Temple Baptist Church and has served in several capacities. She is married to Mr. Tommy May of Hattiesburg, and the couple has a 6 month old son named Trace.
