2014 Annual Report Released

We are pleased to present The American Chestnut Foundation's 2014 annual report. This report outlines the accomplishments of TACF during the fiscal year July 2013-June 2014. Highlights include: the planting of more than 10,000 Restoration Chestnut 1.0 trees to date, TACF's ninth four-star rating by Charity Navigator, and in the past year alone, chapter volunteers have planted more than 90,000 chestnut trees in 114 various locations throughout the Appalachian range.

Pure American Seed Kits and Seedlings

As one of many TACF member benefits, pure American chestnut seed kits and seedlings will be available for purchase beginning  March 10th. Due to the limited supply, orders will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are not currently a member, you can join TACF at the same time you place your order. Memberships start at $40.00. Pricing information and ordering instructions are available here.

Staff Update: dentataBase
By Kendra Gurney

The dentataBase is an online database that will ultimately store all of TACF's breeding program data - both from Meadowview and TACF's state chapters. With the exciting announcement of two years of committed funding, we will be able to make needed improvements to the development of this critical tool to fully support TACF's scientific programs. The dentataBase team is working to make significant enhancements to data integrity, mapping, and the system's security mode.  Read more about the dentataBase project.
