In celebration of Meadowview Research Farm's 25th Anniversary, the Southwest Virginia Restoration Branch, who is hosting the event, has also designed festive t-shirts for everyone interested in celebrating the festive occasion. The event honors all who have participated in the development and success of the Farm's breeding program over the past 25 years. In honor of the heritage of our Great American Chestnut Tree, the West Virginia Chestnut Festival will be hosted in Rowlesburg, WV, the little town on the big bend of the scenic Cheat River! Dedications will also be made to recognize the research scientists and their ongoing efforts, dedicated to restoring American Chestnut Trees- a giant hardwood tree that once dominated the hills of Appalachia.
