The frontier life and culture cannot be fully conveyed without including the powerful influence of the American chestnut trees that towered over the Appalachian mountain landscape for centuries. This lecture series in Staunton, VA will raise public awareness of the importance of this tree species to frontier culture, and of the efforts now under way to restore it to its natural habitat.

TACF is entering our third year of producing a monthly e-newsletter that brings you current news from our staff and volunteers. But we've never had an official name for it! Submit your creative idea for our newsletter here. Who ever submits the winning name will be awarded a TACF tumbler.
