Happy Thanksgiving

As we reflect this Thanksgiving on what we are most thankful for,
in our case the answer is always the same: you.   Thank you for supporting us year after year, all year long - we appreciate it more than you know.

Still in need of a fresh holiday turkey?
Give us a call at 845-292-3838.  They are going fast but we may have an extra 1 or 2.

Pies are still available, too, but please call and place an order no later than 4 pm Wednesday to make sure you get exactly what you want.

For any last minute holiday needs we will be open our regular hours through Wednesday.  In addition, the Market will be OPEN from 9:00 until 1:00 on Thanksgiving Day.
Then we go home to eat, too.

ALL THINGS CRANBERRY

It's hard to believe that in less than a week Thanksgiving will be here.  Which means that by next Friday many of us will be figuring out ways to use up all that leftover turkey.

The best way, of course is the simple turkey sandwich.  Kick yours up a notch this year with a dollop of Stonewall Kitchen Cranberry Horseradish Sauce  - it's tart little zing will leave you addicted.

This week, we are pleased to offer this product, as well as anything else in the store containing cranberries - juice, sauces, fresh berries, dried berries, and so on - at

20% OFF

CRANBERRY SAUCE

What other recipe could possibly be in this space this week?  Our Grown Right Organic cranberry sauce is delicious (pictured above), but if you'd like to take a crack at making your own it couldn't be easier.

Basic cranberry sauce contains just water, sugar and berries  - although you can always dress it up with spices or nuts.  This recipe from Simply Recipes is as straightforward as they come.

GROWING CRANBERRIES

A word of advice for anyone thinking of trying to grow cranberries - don't.

Cranberries require a combination of very specific conditions to thrive - an April to November growing season, acid soil and an abundance of fresh water, just to name a few.

Need to know more?  Check out the Cape Cod Cranberry Growers Association website - they'll tell you more than you ever wanted to know.
