"This is an important day in Southern California aviation. Today's action by the Los Angeles City Council brings us ever closer to the goal of local control of Ontario International Airport. On behalf of the City of Ontario and the Ontario International Airport Authority, I wish to thank Los Angeles officials for their leadership and support of this important regional initiative: Mayor Eric Garcetti, the City Council, the Board of Airport Commissioners and Los Angeles World Airports.
