For most people, a 75th anniversary celebration involves looking at the past. But we are celebrating by looking into a future full of hope, promise, and adventure.Thank you for your part in leaving a legacy for future generations.

(This vision for the future of Women of Grace USA was presented at the Women's Celebration at the Fellowshift conference in Washington, D.C., July 18)
As we look at the ministry of Women of Grace USA, we need to consider where the future is headed. What will the world be like for our children and grandchildren?
Earlier this year I saw a letter that precipitated a spiritual crisis of sorts for me. Let me share it with you:
Dear Lego Company,
My name is Charlotte. I am 7 years old and I love Legos, but I don't like that there are more Lego boy people and hardly any Lego girls. Today I went to the store and saw Legos in two sections: the pink (girls) and the blue (boys). All the girls did was sit at home, go to the beach, and shop, and they had no jobs, but the boys went on adventures, worked, saved people, and had jobs, even swam with sharks. I want you to make more Lego girl people and let them go on adventures and have fun. OK? Thank you.
Charlotte Benjamin
"Why would that cause a spiritual crisis?", you might be thinking.

Theme for 2014-2015: Ministers of Reconciliation
|
|
|

|
Introducing our theme this year just got easier! Follow this link for a narration that can easily be turned into a skit to get the ladies thinking. This is the same skit used at the Fellowshift conference in Washington D.C. We asked for volunteers to act it out and discovered some great actresses in our Fellowship!
Also, there is a Bible study available developed especially for this year's theme. Titled "A Call to All," it addresses the calling to be ministers of reconciliation in this world. Click here for more information on the study.
And, of course, you can find interesting articles on the theme in the new issue of the Women's Spectrum magazine.

 | Honor and Awards for Our President Emeritus |
| |

|
Our President Emeritus Janet Minnix was honored at the Fellowshift Conference in Washington D.C. in July with various awards. At the Women's Celebration, she was given an award from Women of Grace of flowers in an engraved vase with Hebrews 13:20-21. She was also presented with a world clock by Dr. David Guiles, Executive Director of Encompass World Partners, in appreciation for her encouragement of missions. At the All-Fellowship Luncheon, she was awarded a plaque (pictured) and received a standing ovation. Thank you, Janet, for your faithful ministry for Christ!

 | Investing in the Future |
| |

|
Leadership summits and classes can make a big difference in equipping a woman for leadership, but some women are experiencing life circumstances that make the cost prohibitive. For such women who are in churches that do not have a budget for equipping their leaders, we try to offer scholarships to help them, too, receive the training they need. You can help us equip the next generation through your gift to the Equip Her Scholarship.

Taught to Hope
by Jen Fretz
I have shared a passage with other moms who are going through tough times. I have shared it with family members, the teenage girls that I spend a week with every summer at church camp, and even my own children.
I came to love this passage of scripture around the time that I was expecting our second child. We learned early in my pregnancy that she was very sick and was not going to live long. There were many days when I did not feel like going on, and it's only by the prayers of many that I was able to get out of bed during that dark time. ( read more)

 | PrayerWatch -- Standing in adversity |
| | |
I read Barb Wooler's article in the newest Women's Spectrum yesterday and felt her passion to help widows in the Central African Republic who are low on the totem pole. Not far away is the unmerciful attack on believers in Nigeria. Up north Isis is chasing all Christians from the ancient town of Mosul, which turns out to be Jonah's Ninevah. Christians, who have been there for 1600 years, now have no place to call home.
The more I read about the movement of God from watchmen like Barb, Dr. Ngoumape , and others who are researching how God is moving amidst the suffering, the more I understand that God is on the move, bringing many new children into His kingdom, many right from the enemy's camp. As you pray for the persecuted church, I suggest that you read about God's movement among the Muslim people in A Wind in the House of Islam by David Garrison. (Kindle)
