Daughter of the King: Ambassador for Life

If you had the chance to sit across from a teenage girl and speak truth into the depths of her soul, what would you say? Would you peer into her eyes and let her know she is a beloved daughter of the Most High King, that she is cherished and valued beyond imagination? This is the message we will share with girls at the "Daughters of the King: Ambassadors for Life" event this summer during Momentum Youth Conference. We invite you to be a part of sharing this message. The event is being held in honor of SMM's 100th Anniversary and we are hosting an online anniversary shower. To help create a celebratory atmosphere we need items such as napkins, favors, centerpieces etc. We are hoping you choose to give toward any one of these items, not merely because we want to host a memorable event, but because the message that every girl is a precious daughter of God is vitally important. Please help us reach the heart of girls with this message. Check items needed

PrayerWatch partnership

from Sharon MacMillan

Isn't prayer amazing? We can move from simple words between our Father and ourselves to agonizing, persistent, diligent intercession. Whether simple or intense, we can touch God's heart while we are praying for anyone anywhere on earth. Our Father gave this precious gift to us that we might become touched by His heart. May we pray without ceasing; pray believing without any doubt. Send in your requests in confidence that prayer warriors who believe God are standing with you before the Throne. Send e-mail

Musings for moms

The risks of a routine life
by Jennifer Fretz

I am very blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom! I honestly didn't think it would be possible, but the Lord has provided (and continues to do so!). It is a blessing to be able to be home with my kids, to more easily be involved in their schooling and to be able to keep up with my domestic responsibilities. I have noticed, however, that is also becomes easier for me to stay protected in my own little bubble. Sure, I go out and about all the time. I make regular trips to and from my daughter's school, to and from the grocery store and I'm very involved in other activities outside of my home that expose me to other people and situations beyond my normal routine. The thing is, though, that the longer I am blessed by staying home, the more routine I get! While this isn't necessarily a bad thing, I believe it has contributed to times where I have ignored situations where I could have been of service to someone and I didn't, all for the sake of my routine! Margin by Richard Swenson

Review by Christy Carmean
Dr. Swenson, a medical doctor, began to notice in his own life and in the lives of his patients a reoccurring problem that wasn't really addressed in his schooling or in his church-the problem of margin-less living. He personally saw the toll that living without margin played on his life, health, and family. He determined to find margin in his life, no matter the cost. His book, Margin, is his instructions for you to be able to follow him on this road that few choose today. More
