Pray for the young of this nation and other nations that God brings to mind. This little one was rescued and then adopted by a relief worker in Uganda."He tends His flock like a shepherd, He gathers them in his arms, and carries them close to his heart, and gently leads those that have young"(Is. 40:11). In the Life Application notes we read "Note that the shepherd is caring for the most defenseless members of his society: children and those caring for them... The 'nation' that relies on God's caring strength for these is the truly powerful nation."

 ...to say I love you!
Yesterday (February 14) was Valentine's Day, when we gave gifts of flowers, boxes of candy, or heart-decorated greeting cards to those we love. Though probably not on your Valentine list, there are others who need to know they are loved. The girls who come to our churches, Sunday Schools, youth groups, after-school clubs, need to know that godly women care about them; they need women who will take an interest in them, pray for them, love them, be their "spiritual moms" and yes, lead an SMM or Girls of Faith group for them. SMM would like to equip women like you to be leaders and spiritual moms for those girls, but the resources are not available. You can say "I love you" to a needy girl through your gift to SMM, and help women like you be trained to minister to girls as only a godly woman can. Give now |
