Happy New Year? |

 The tree is put away, ornaments carefully wrapped, new toys are scattered all over the place and we, in the blink of an eye, rang in the new year only to wake up the next day, go back to work and carry on as if nothing was different. And for a lot of us nothing is that different. However, for some of us things are quite different and "happy" New Year just doesn't do it. I am sitting at my computer wondering which tragedy to ask prayer for: two shootings in Southern California in one day while we are still reeling from the shooting in Connecticut, with other incidents in between. Jesus said that the end of the age would be in a condition similar to a woman experiencing increasing birth pangs. While I am writing, the song "Overcome" by Jon Egan is playing on my iTunes. God is speaking: "He never sinned but suffered as if he did. All authority, every victory is Yours. Savior - worthy of all our praise, You overcame." We pray and intercede for this tired world with that victory in view. He is the "Light in this broken land." He alone is our Hope, our Victory as the King.
Pray, sisters, pray as you have never prayed for this "broken land" to come to Jesus Christ, the Overcomer. And remember, if you want women to join with you in your intercession at any time you can send it by e-mail to our prayer coordinator. |
