~ Worshiping God ~
When we are not in the seasons of Advent, Christmas, Lent or Easter,
we are in the growth period of Ordinary Time -
marked by the living and hopeful color of Green.

While the 'seasons' of the church year focus upon one aspect of the presence
of God in our lives, Ordinary Time celebrates all aspects and occurs twice
in the Liturgical / Christian calendar. First during the time between Epiphany and Ash Wednesday, and then again between Pentecost and Advent.
This is why this Sunday we pick up where we left off, at Ordinary Sunday Nine.

May your Ordinary Time be EXTRA-ordinary!

Interruptions  ~  Luke 21:5-19

~ Flowers for this Sunday given by ~

8:30 a.m. - Carolyn & Michael Baur in honor of our Armed Forces

10:30 a.m. - Ginger & Steve Cargile in memory of Chris & Donna Cargile

~ Ushers for this Sunday ~

8:30 a.m. - Carolyn & Michael Baur; Taffy & Steve Hicks
10:30 a.m. - Ginger Cargile; Jonelle Wolf

How would it inform our lives
if we looked at the stories in our sacred texts
as simply accounts of interruptions?

How do we deal with interruptions - even the spiritual ones?
Possibly like this?

Come and Find the Quiet Center
Shirley Erena Murray
Come and find the quiet center in the crowded life we lead,
find the room for hope to enter, find the frame where we are freed:
clear the chaos and the clutter, clear our eyes, that we can see
all the things that really matter, be at peace, and simply be.

received Holy Communion together last
month. For some this was a totally new experience. Pastor Avis provided a history
and explained the symbolism. It was an
education and a blessing to all of us.

also traveled to Augusta on Nov 5th to the Enopion Theatre to see "Creation."
This is a Bible Theatre Company whose purpose is to present live theatrical productions on stage that entertain, uplift and maintain good moral standards.

The gospel message is the foundation of each performance. Approximately 23 members along with several LOCC members attended. A wonderful day and a blessing to all.
