When we are not in the seasons of Advent, Christmas, Lent or Easter,
we are in the growth period of Ordinary Time -
marked by the living and hopeful color of Green.
While the 'seasons' of the church year focus upon one aspect of the presence
of God in our lives, Ordinary Time celebrates all aspects and occurs twice
in the Liturgical / Christian calendar. First during the time between Epiphany and Ash Wednesday, and then again between Pentecost and Advent.
This is why this Sunday we pick up where we left off, at Ordinary Sunday Nine.
May your Ordinary Time be EXTRA-ordinary!

Come celebrate Simchat Torah with
Lake Oconee Congregation Chai
and the Sammy Rosenbaum Band.
Our traditional celebration includes dancing, singing,
and the rolling back of the Torah to its beginning.
Fun for the whole family!
This community wide event is an opportunity to learn
what the Torah is and to see the newly acquired Torah
and beautifully crafted Ark up close.
Join us for the celebration and a bit of food and wine
