Within minutes, Ella indicated to Officer Raneo the presence of a narcotic odor coming from the vehicle. As a result of further investigation, 14 grams of Methamphetamine, a class B Narcotic commonly known as "Crystal Meth;" Rohypnol and Gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB) a class A Narcotic commonly used in drug-facilitated sexual assaults or "date rapes;" a large assortment of prescription pills packaged for distribution; $880.00 in cash; a digital scale; and other paraphernalia consistent with sales and distribution was seized. The two suspects in the vehicle, both with lengthy criminal records, were placed under arrest. The vehicle used, a 2015 Audi A3, was seized for further disposition, including the possibility of permanent forfeiture/seizure, through assistance of the Barnstable County District Attorney's Office. |
