Testicular Cancer Awareness | | |
Did you know that testicular cancer is the leading cancer in men ages 15-35? If detected early, testicular cancer is easily treated. Monthy self-exams are effective in detection of testicular cancer.
April is Testicular Cancer Awareness Month
Please urge the men in your life to perform monthly self-exams.
Feeling awkward about speaking to your son or other men in your life about TC? Watch this "Parents Gone Awkward" video from Single Jingles, a testicular cancer awareness organization. SJ also offers a shower card with instructions for self-exams.
Check out these other great organizations that promote awareness, and offer education and support for TC and those affected by it:
Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation

Testicular Cancer Society

Sperm Banking is the main Fertility Preservation option for men diagnosed with cancer. Other reasons a man may choose to bank sperm include prior to vasectomy or military deployment.
ReproTech's newly published web site, www.spermbanking101.com, is dedicated to providing information on sperm banking. You may find this information useful with your patients, so please check it out!

If a man is unable to travel to a fertility clinic to bank sperm, ReproTech offers a convenient, economical and private alternative. Our OverNite Male Kit enables a man to collect specimen(s) in the privacy of his home or hospital room, and FedEx to ReproTech's processing lab, the University of IL at Chicago Andrology Lab. The specimens are processed at the lab and shipped to ReproTech for long-term storage.
