Successful Corporate Citizenship: Developing an Integrated Structure at Medtronic
Leading companies like Medtronic recognize that creating strong citizenship programs isn't enough to have true business and community impact. "There are other ingredients that must also be in the mix," says Tom Knowlton, Director of TCC Group's Corporate Practice. "These elements of successful corporate citizenship are common among best practice companies and include building strong company culture, engaged leadership, integrated structure, and a comprehensive citizenship strategy."
In a blog series for CSRwire, Tom Knowlton and Associate Director Nadia Gomes examine each of these elements in depth. In a recent post, they highlight how medical technology innovator Medtronic encourages leaders and business units to understand the roles they play, their accountability for meeting goals, and the value they bring to the company's overall citizenship strategy. Lean about how a company can build an integrated structure that supports both business and social impact goals.
