Voices Newsletter                November 2014
Greetings!,

Yes, October is over and we can all exhale a bit. I think there has been real progress about metastatic breast cancer awareness and education, especially when I think back over the last 10 years that I have been a patient advocate and a person living with mbc.

But, awareness is a 365 day a year priority, not just one day or week or even one month out of the year.

MBCN, unlike most organizations, does not solicit donations year round. When you see an email from us, we want you to open it because of the information and support it contains, not the constant 'ask' for financial assistance.  That being said, the end of year is the one time we do ask for your financial support. (Many of you donated as part of the MBCN conference registration, supporting Angel registrations for those financially strapped or giving general aid for MBCN support of metastatic research and we are very grateful for that!)

So here is our annual appeal: Please support MBCN in its mission to educate, empower and advocate for the metastatic community. We need you!  All individual donations go directly to funding metastatic breast cancer research and we will update you in early 2015 on who the research recipients are.

One of our members, Marian, sent  this letter to friends and acquaintances and we received an overwhelming response, so please feel free to emulate Marian!

Wishing you all a happy and blessed Thanksgiving.

Warmest regards,

Shirley

MBCN President
