, It was nice seeing many of you at the Chicago Northwestern Metastatic Meet-up this weekend.
I hope you agree with me that this has been an October like no other. I don't think it's my imagination, when I see many more webinars and programs being offered on metastatic breast cancer; articles and editorials; mention of metastatic disease on the Today show and in a blog by Joan Lunden; conversations on mbc by traditionally pink organizations and the good press surrounding the announcement of the first year's work of the Metastatic Breast Cancer Alliance and its report on Changing the Landscape for People Living with MBC.
And the month isn't over yet!
This week there will a live-streamed webchat with Dr. Eric Winer at Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. MBCN held their annual conference at DF in 2009 and we have high regard for Dr. Winer. Why not tune in on your computer at 1 PM ET on Thursday Oct 23? See below for details.
Please note the other items listed on our website calendar, highlighted below.
Warmest regards,
Shirley
MBCN President

MBCN visits Good Morning America
|
Monday October 13 at 6 am, it was a little misty out on the plaza of Good Morning America in the heart of Times Square. But, looking up at the Times Square Tower announcing that October 13 is Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day was like the sun bursting through! (It's the same tower where the ball drops on New Year's Eve!)
Hope you enjoy our pictures of the day!
