Hi Everyone, As we approach summer, September seems a long way off. But it will be here before we know it---and so will our annual conference. Wondering what it's like to attend an MBCN Conference?
|
Our 2012 event in Chicago was a big hit. Here's what's some attendees had to say: "Thank you for the amazing conference in Chicago...I really enjoyed the lectures, meeting other amazing women, and overall it just motivated me to fight for more and keep living my life. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and am happy to know I am not alone in my fight and that we truly do have a voice in YOU. " --R.H.
"Dr. Patricia Steeg's passion and determination for research involving the prevention of metastasis was incredibly inspiring and uplifting. Meeting other mets patients, like me, was also a great part of my weekend. Thank you, MBCN for the wonderful conference!" --S.S. "I really learned a lot at the bone mets session and about clinical trials. You all did a wonderful job putting on the conference. I'm really glad I made the trip. Thank you." --L.C. |
Help Change the Experience for Those Living with Metastatic Breast Cancer
|
The Cancer Support Community (CSC) has developed a survey on the social and emotional needs of patients with metastatic breast cancer which we urge you to participate in. Make your voice heard!
This new tool expands upon CSC's groundbreaking work in The Breast Cancer M.A.P. Project, in which over 3,700 breast cancer survivors have participated, and will further highlight and raise awareness around the unique needs of people living with metastatic breast cancer.
The Cancer Experience Registry is a critical step in understanding the impact of metastatic breast cancer and ultimately discovering innovative ways to address the needs of people who have been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer by informing next steps in research, programs, and policy that address their ongoing and changing social and emotional needs.
Participating is easy. There are only two steps:
- Visit www.CancerExperienceRegistry.org to sign up for the Cancer Experience Registry. After registering, you will be directed to questions specifically designed for those living with metastatic breast cancer.
- Answer a set of survey questions and provide updates on a yearly basis.
Anyone who completes the survey by June 30 will be entered to win a grand prize of $500 and five second place prizes of $100.
If you have any questions about registering and completing the survey please contact: anne@cancersupportcommunity.org
