The End is Near!

The snow's finally here, just in time for the semester to come to a close. There are two short weeks of instruction left before the dreaded finals week. Get your ends tied up now so you don't end up cramming (too much) for your exams!

On that note, be sure to stop by RSS before you leave for the break if you need help! Our office will be closed from December 25th through January 4th.

Ordering Tanscripts

Final grades will be posted by your instructors on December 24th. If you need to get an official transcript for any reason, be sure to order it on UAOnline after this date so it will show this semester's grades.

Ugly Sweater Party

Start off your weekend at RSS with a Positive Connection Night! You'll be surrounded by friends, activity, and good food!

We only have one PCN left, and it's a party! We'll be celebrating the holidays with a series of Minute To Win It games and a lovely dinner. Make sure to bring your ugly sweater, as the ugliest will get a prize.

Please join us in the Gathering Room on December 12th at 5:00pm!

AISES Chapter of the Year
L to R: Nathaniel Olemaun, Jason Slats, Katie Roseberry, Lonny Strunk, and Kory Joe as they accept awards on the chapter's behalf
The UAF chapter of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society was named chapter of the year and received two additional awards at the national convention in November. Award submissions were championed by UAF AISES Co-Presidents Jesstin Patterson and Stefan Weingarth.

The chapter won the Professional and Chapter Development Award, the Recruitment and Retention Award, and the Stelvio J. Zanin Distinguished Chapter of the Year Award.

The national AISES conference was held in Orlando, Florida, November 13-15. Six members of UAF AISES attended.

We hope you're doing great in all of your classes! However, if you feel like you're falling behind or just need a little extra help, make sure you talk to a tutor.

We have tons of help on campus, at CTC, and even online! Whether you need to talk to someone about Math, English, Science, or a Foreign Language, you're covered. Visit our tutor page to figure out where and when tutors are available in your subject.

In the Gathering Room at RSS, we have tutors from the American Indian Science and Engineering Society to help you with Math, Science, and Engineering questions. You can view their schedule here. We also have tutors from 2-4:00pm Monday through Thursday from the Writing Center to help you with your papers!

Financial Help
The Financial Aid Office is great when you need help with scholarships, grants and loans, but that's not all they do! They also have a wide array of workshops designed to help you efficiently manage your money. If you want to be smart with your money, attend one or all of the following sessions! This is a listing for November, look for the next Reachout to see their later workshops.
