News from FOCA: FOCA is looking for 1 or 2 people who could volunteer to set up an online school store for CRLS this summer to be ready to launch in the fall. The students in the business class run the CRLS school store and this online school store would be an extension of their learning. The online store would be featuring the clothing we sell ( FOCA subsides the clothing and all sales support CRLS and athletics). We would like to create an online order form to order the clothing we sell. We would like an option to personalize it or create team clothing. We would like photos of the merchandise on the page. We would like to link it to the CRLS site. We would need to be able to have people pay on line and either ship the merchandise or pick up at school. Please contact Laurie Gaines ( lauriebee4@aol.com) or Tom Arria ( TArria@cosd.us ) if you world be willing to work with us this summer. Thank you

A note from the Guidance Department: The College Board has instituted strict guidelines for admitting students to both the SAT Reasoning and SAT subject exams. On the test day students must bring with them a printed admission ticket with picture (a ticket on a smart phone is NOT acceptable) and a picture ID. Students missing either of those items will be turned away; even if the test-takers are known. The next SAT Reasoning and SAT subject exam is scheduled for Saturday, June 7. Guidance counselors will be reminding students about the policy. We ask parents to check in with your child the day prior to the exam to ensure your child has the necessary documents for admission to the SAT. Students should also be reminded to get plenty of rest, eat breakfast and bring their documents, pencils and a calculator. We wish your child well on their exam(s). Best Regards, CRLS Guidance Department

Families Needed to Shape Our Vision:
CPS is pleased to announce the launch of our Family Engagement Planning Process -- and to invite your participation now, and next school year. Please read the attached Family Engagement Newsletter to learn about the planning process!
NOW: Help CPS recruit 20-25 families to help shape the vision for the work ahead. A description and nomination form is attached -- due June 10 for a June 16 event designed to foster dialogue and creative visioning among diverse members of the CPS community of families. Can you help by nominating a parent/guardian of a CPS student, or encouraging families to nominate themselves?
Next Fall: Watch for more details on a Strategic Planning and Goals-Setting event for CPS leaders and community-based partners. We have heard from you, partnered with you, and shared ideas with you -- now we will come together again, around a shared vision and goals for Family Engagement in Cambridge Public Schools.
