FOCA FALL PARENT PARTY:
In case you hadn't heard, the Friends of Cambridge Athletics (FOCA) Fall Parent Party is taking place on November 23 at 5PM.  And the tickets are going fast!  While the event builds community among CRLS parents as well as coaches, the proceeds support our coaches grants and student scholarships programs. So please:

National ACT/SAT Combo Test Day:

You are invited to join your peers across the country to attend Kaplan's first annual National Practice Test Day. This one-day only event will be taking place Saturday, November 16th, & will allow students to:
- Experience both the SAT and ACT in one unique practice test
- Receive detailed score feedback
- Make an informed decision about which exam best suits them

Please join Friends of CRLS on Wednesday, November 20 at 7:30 pm (Wise Library, CRLS) for a Friends of CRLS Community Meeting. Our speaker series continues with special guest David Mish of the CRLS Bilingual Department. David is a Spring 2013 FOCRLS Faculty Innovation Grant recipient. He'll tell us about his Faculty Innovation Grant project, called "The Houses on Cambridge Streets," as well as share with us his
insights about on the population of students at CRLS who are newly-arrived non-native English speakers.

Friends of CRLS meets bi-monthly and welcomes your participation.

Homecoming Dance:
Tickets are now on sale to the Homecoming Dance which is Friday, Nov. 22 from 7-11 in the media cafe!
Tickets are $7 in advance, $10 at the door. Tickets are being sold by student government representatives or students can purchase a ticket at the bagel bench at lunch!

Thanksgiving Day Game Tickets now on Sale:
Tickets are available in the Athletic Office at a pre game discounted rate; Adults for $5 and Students and Seniors for $3.  This discounted rate is only for pre game sales.   All Tickets purchased at the door will be $7.  This year's contest is shaping up to be an exciting game as the two teams met earlier this season with CRLS edging out the Highlanders in overtime.
CRLS Information Night: For Rising 9th Grade Families. December 10 from 6-8 PM in the CRLS Auditorium.

The evening will include a presentation from the Principal in the auditorium where families will learn about all the exciting opportunities at CRLS. Followed by a smaller group session with guidance counselor, deans, parents, and current CRLS students who will answer questions that you might have about CRLS.

Tickets will be on sale at school box office, in the Arts building lobby, during A & B lunches only starting next week. Tickets will not be held at the door through direct ticket sales. If you want tickets held for you use the link below to purchase tickets online. All remaining tickets not sold from the ticket booth during the official selling period will be sold at the door on a first come first serve basis!

COLLEGE PLANNING, MENTORING, APPLICATIONS & ESSAY WRITING~

What:    Cambridge School Volunteer Mentors partners with CCRC

CSV mentors are attentive listeners, patient, caring, and skilled tutors who break down the college application process into manageable steps to reach deadlines and individual goals of students. Once students meet mentors they may schedule alternate days.

Tutors are available: 7:30-8:00 and 2:30-3:30. See Mrs. Meshon after school to sign up!

Please join us for this year's workshops and special meetings. Unless otherwise noted, meetings take place at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, located at 459 Broadway. Meetings are free and open to the public. Childcare and light refreshments are provided.
