National ACT/SAT Combo Test Day:
You are invited to join your peers across the country to attend Kaplan's first annual National Practice Test Day. This one-day only event will be taking place Saturday, November 16th, & will allow students to: - Experience both the SAT and ACT in one unique practice test - Receive detailed score feedback - Make an informed decision about which exam best suits them Kaplan is holding this event at the following location in your area: Kaplan Center Cambridge 39 JFK St. Cambridge, MA Students can enroll here: www.kaptest.com/choose . Need a Tutor? Please come to the Tutoring Center, Room 2132 to request a tutor in any subject. Tutors are available: 7:30-8:00 and 2:30-3:30. See Mrs. Meshon after school to sign up! (This is a free service for CRLS students from Cambridge School Volunteers.)

Homecoming Dance: Tickets are now on sale to the Homecoming Dance which is Friday, Nov. 22 from 7-11 in the media cafe! Tickets are $7 in advance, $10 at the door. Tickets are being sold by student government representatives or students can purchase a ticket at the bagel bench at lunch!

CSV mentors are attentive listeners, patient, caring, and skilled tutors who break down the college application process into manageable steps to reach deadlines and individual goals of students. Once students meet mentors they may schedule alternate days.

*Did you know that Youth On Fire serves homeless and street-involved youth, ages 14-24, right here in Cambridge? *Did you know that 30-40% of the young people they serve identify as LGBTQ? *Come hear their stories, learn about ways you can support them, and see a new short documentary about Youth On Fire. *Thursday, Nov. 14 from 5:30-8:30 at the Cambridge Public Library Auditorium (Sponsored by the Cambridge GLBT Commission).

Mindset Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. Join C-PAC and co-hosts, the Office of Academic Challenge & Enrichment and the Citywide Parent Advisory Group for a discussion of Carol Dweck's Mindset, focused on supporting diverse students to develop a "growth mindset" that will set them up for success.
Shut Up About Your Perfect Kid! Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. Authors Gina Gallagher & Patricia Kanjoian will educate and entertain with their personal stories of imperfect parenting and the movement of imperfection.
