Tough times: Parenting teens who take risks-April 3, 2013 at 6PM in the Cafeteria
Adolescent risk taking can be both positive and dangerous. Some adolescent risk behaviors are healthy and help teens grow by allowing them to try new things and test their abilities. However, other risk behaviors cause concern. In this session, parents will be able to understand the differences between risk taking behavior and high risk behavior. Also, parent-adolescent communication will be highlighted and how it can positively influence how teens make high risk choices.

Parking available in the Ellery Street garage. Food will be served. For more information or to register email Greta Hardina the CRLS Family Liaison at ghardina@cpsd.us or call 617-349-6660

CRLS ROBOTICS TEAM:
The CRLS FIRST robotics team will compete in the Boston regional at BU Agannis Arena on March 22 and March 23 from 8:00 to 5:00. The event is free.  Come support this very hard working academic team.

FIRST robotics is a competition where new specifications are released each year and then students have 6 weeks to design/build a robot from scratch. The competitions have the trappings of a major sporting event in the hopes of elevating scientists and engineers to the same status as sports and celebrity figures in our culture. The team attracts students from across the board at CRLS. During the event you have the opportunity to walk around the "pits" and see the robots up close and personal. This year the robot shoots Frisbee's and climbs a tower. Please stop by if you can to show your support. Look for Team 97. For more info click on this link::
